Description
Braida - Il Bacialé Rosso Monferrato DOC 2018
'Bacialé' means in Piedmontese dialect. This crimson red wine is the perfect marriage of local Barbera grapes with international varieties of Pinot Nero, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
winemaking
The mash fermentation takes place separately according to grape variety in steel tanks. For acid reduction, the young wines are moved to large wooden barrels. This is followed by the assemblage of the individual batches. The married wine is now aged in wood for 12 months. Partly in large barrels, partly in used barriques. After bottling, another four months of aging in the bottle follow before Il Bacialè goes on sale.
