For more than 25 years, Josephus and Barbara Mayr have been bottling their quality wines themselves and thus complete the entire process from the grape to the bottle in their own production. It is their daily effort, together with their employees, to cultivate their vineyards with great care, to harvest the grapes as late as possible and to work as creatively and precisely as possible in the cellar in order to consistently bring you high-quality wines with a strong character into your glass bring.
The “Unterganzner” have always been interested in the art of the cellar masters. Evidence of this is a well-preserved booklet, the contents of which were intended as a perfect lesson for cellar masters. While the wines used to be stored exclusively in wooden barrels and transported outside the country well before the beginning of the 20th century, today's cellars are equipped with concrete, steel and innovative techniques. Nevertheless, the wooden barrel still plays a prominent role. The highest quality wines are stored exclusively in wooden barrels. The deliberately gentle processing of the grapes and the careful handling of the end product wine is intended to promote and maintain the quality that has been laboriously worked out in the vineyard.
With a lot of creativity and love for the vine, exclusive wines for special people are created here.
