Eye: Intense, radiant straw yellow with subtle green reflections.
Nose: Beautiful, slightly exotic Burgundy nose, ripe vineyard peaches and pineapple, apricots, bananas, camomile, juniper berries, elderflowers, freshly grated herbs, lively notes of citrus, some passion fruit and lychee, macadamia nuts, figs, vanilla, toasted white bread.
Taste: Full power on the palate - ripe fruit again, present but ingeniously integrated roasted aromas, exotic, lots of herbal spice comes through, mighty broad and dense, full-bodied, typically Burgundian with regional Illmitzer salty minerality, refreshing hints of citrus, balanced acidity, creamy enamel, smoky and greasy ( Smoked meat), lemon grass, nettle, again banana, peach, chamomile, passion fruit and pineapple, chocolate bananas! Floral notes of elderflower and some violets, hazelnut, marzipan, roasted coffee beans, vanilla beans, buttery-creamy, elegant-dense, ripe-fruity, powerful-balanced, a wonderfully long, never-ending finish that sticks.
Expansion: 12 months in small oak barrels (100% new wood).
Vinification: Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation at 15 °C in small oak barrels, constant stirring of the fine lees.
Floor: Paratschernosem of loamy sand with a high proportion of gravel.
Yield per hectare: 35 hl
Food accompaniment:

White meat and poultry (also dark meat with histamine allergies), seafood (e.g. crustaceans), offal (e.g. Beuschel, liver), Asian dishes.
